The Zinnia blooms were alive with butterflies today, gathering the sustenance and vicariously picking up pollen from flower to flower.
You can see yellow flecks of pollen covering its downward curved proboscis, legs, thorax, among the tiny hair-like filaments of its head and along the leading edges of its wings. Pollen was everywhere.
Even as Summer has passed and Autumn is upon us, the cycle of nature continues, eking out every last bit of life.
