Sisters In Sun
Sissy and Smokey, our two cats, cuddled up in the strong sunlight that is pouring over them as they snuggle in Karen's comfy chair.
The sun room that we built onto our home, now decades new, still remains our favorite room of our house. There's no built in heat source in the room, so during winter, the combination of the sun and a small space heater make it cozy.
The cats like to be where we are much of the time. So, they perch where it's warm nearby. On this day, the sun was shining bright, casting deep shadows and warmth. The cats found the reclining chair, which was bathed in the light, to be of their liking.
I have my workstation in the same room. When the sun is like this, I have to abandon my photo work. I find something else to occupy those bright hours, and come back to my images when the sun is down or muted.
A small price to pay for the delight of being inside, with the feeling (via windows covering three walls) of being outside.
